About the Conference

 

This program is designed to help teams of 3 to 5 pharmacy faculty members and administrators from a university work together to evaluate their assessment practices. Expert faculty will lead discussions and activities to assist you in developing a framework for a comprehensive assessment plan. Sessions will focus on programmatic and curricular assessment, use of assessment data to improve educational programs, and selection of assessment methods that are right for your institution. Attendees will learn how curriculum mapping supports assessment and will have the opportunity to start the curriculum mapping process.

Objectives

 

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants (teams/individuals) shall be able to:

  • Explain the significance of curricular assessment in student learning outcomes and program improvement.
  • Increase program cohesiveness through alignment of assessments, course objectives, and program outcomes.
  • Create effective assessments most suited to your institution and program needs.
  • Initiate the curriculum mapping process.
